If you're ever in Bordeaux ...

Hi Skaters and Skater-families,
We at SKATEABLE love to travel and always throw in the skateboards and gear when we are on the road. There is something special about skating a new park in a far away land.
So, if you are ever in BORDEAUX, I'd like to recommend the following:
Have the skaters in the family head to Quai des Chartrons. This is a sweet park for both transition (super fun, mellow mini-bowl) and street next to the river in central Bordeaux. The non-skaters can take a run or walk along the river pathways next to the skate park. There are plenty of nearby cafes and eateries (including a McDonalds) for an after-skate/walk/run refuel.

Note: Some images on the web are of the old wooden skatepark at Quai des Chartrons. This was also a fantastic park but, alas, was torn down during COVID and replaced with the current concrete park.
The other great location is Hangar Darwin on the opposite side of the river. This is a very large indoor skatepark that has the best wooden bowl in the universe. Hangar Darwin is a good option in the rain (it's indoors). The people there are very welcoming and they have a complete setup for parents (including good coffee and awesome vintage pinball machines for Mum and Dad). Check out hangardarwin.org

There is easy parking in both the above locations.
There are other skate spots in Bordeaux but these are the two that we have been to, thoroughly enjoyed and readily recommend. Let us know if you agree.
The World is SKATEABLE,
Peter
